Welcome to the Bluebell, a restored 1920's Norwegian railway carriage providing
extremely comfortable self catering holiday accommodation.
If you're looking to enjoy unusual holiday accommodation in a beautiful and quiet location - here it is!
Although the station was closed in 1965, the track bed, platforms and the station itself
are still here.
The Bluebell sits on the track bed of platform 1, overlooking the wildflower meadow and woods.
There are two bedrooms, one a double and the other 2 singles - both with en suites.
The comfortable sitting room features a wood burner stove
for cosy evenings in, and there is a fully equipped kitchen/diner.
Yes, there is wifi.
A private platform is included, with lovely views over the wildflower meadow.
It's a great spot to take an open air breakfast, or how about a glass
of something pleasing in hand whilst watching a fabulous sunset.
There is also a bbq facility and firepit provided, our local farm shop does great bbq packs.
The Bluebell is exclusively yours for up to 4 persons, with a 3 night minimum stay.
Towels and bedding are of course provided.
Please note we do not accept dogs in the Bluebell.
There is an on site cafe providing breakfast to our guests daily should you
decide cooking breakfast isn't one of the things on your
list of holiday activities, open May to September.
Original features have been kept, so brush up on your Norwegian to understand the signs.
A long way from the fjords.
We don't know how or why the Bluebell came to her retirement here at Hole Station,
but we think she couldn't be in a better place,
she is cared for and appreciated by ourselves and her guests.
A grand old lady indeed, approaching her century.
